Ecommerce and Marketing Consultant

The TESA Collective creates tools, programs, and games for your cause. Our clients include small community groups, national nonprofits, movement builders, city governments, companies with causes, and more. We also create and publish our own games for change, including Rise Up: The Game of People & Power and Space Cats Fight Fascism. This position will primarily be focused on promoting sales for our board games.

Established in 2010, we are a worker-owned cooperative.

Due to one of our worker-owners going on paternity leave soon, we are looking for a consultant to help with our ecommerce and marketing operations.

While we are currently looking for a limited role for someone for 4 months, this consultant could transition to a more long term role – either continuing as a consultant or as an employee (worker-owner). However, interest in that possibility is not required.

We are looking for someone to start ASAP at $50 per hour, for 40 hours a month, for the next four months.

  • Write and edit newsletters/blog posts, roughly one every 1 – 2 weeks. (Some content may be original, but we also have drafts for about 20 posts/newsletters that are in a first draft status and need editing).
  • Grow our newsletter
  • Coordinate promotion of items with both current events as well as holidays and seasons. (This will include building and keeping a calendar of holidays/events.)
  • Strategize other sales/marketing ideas
  • Develop and implement SEO best practices for our store

  • At least 2 years with general social media experience
  • At least 2 years with paid social media advertising
  • Experience writing blog posts and newsletters
  • Experience with marketing and ecommerce for small businesses
  • Knowledge of the board game world and/or activist world considered a plus
