Last Thursday, October 25, we hosted a fundraising event and party to celebrate Co-opoly and Co-op Month. Nearly 60 people came out to celebrate with us and support the second printing of our board game and we ended up raising more than $1,000 thanks to their generosity!
We had delicious homemade food, wine, and live music played by the Ephemeral String Band. Matthew from Food for Thought Books took photos and made two videos, which you can watch here and here.
Thanks to generous donations from a variety of local vendors, we also had a popular raffle with a bounty of great prizes for participants to win. Check out their websites:
Collective Copies – Co-op 108 -Â Ellipsis Video – Equal Exchange – Food for Thought Books – Green Fields Market – Herrell’s Ice Cream – Loose Goose Cafe – Provisions – PV Squared – River Valley Market – The Bun Always Rises – UMassFive Credit Union – Valley Green Feast
Oh, and did we mention that several anonymous donors contributed to a matching fund? This meant that all contributions up to $400 were doubled, thanks to our donors.
We are so grateful to our community for supporting us and the work we do. We want to say thank you again to everyone for coming out to our event and thank you to our organizational supporters for your contributions to our raffle!
Due to the storm, we have extended our fundraising deadline to November 9, so if you would like to contribute, either as part of an organization or as an individual, please do! We appreciate your support.
